Hiyaaaaaa all, well all I can say is ouch ouch ouch i did my ribbon walk on the 14th July and it went great. We did 10 miles in three and a half hours, not bad going for someone who doesn't walk anywhere !! lol. Most of the walk was uphill except the last 2 miles which was down hill and at times it  was very tempting to give up but we both encouraged each other and we did it. The girl on the left in the photo with our Bingos T-shirts on is Jo Lee, she walked with me and together we raised over £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care. Most of the money raised came from all you great roomies and again ty sooooo much for all your generosity and we will be going back again next year thanks again

Charity Special - Tie Davey

Tie Davey, a 10-month old baby, suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a very rare genetic condition in which the skin and internal body linings blister at the slightest knock or rub, causing painful, open wounds. We are currently hosting charity evenings to raise funds for Tie by sponsoring his father Peter on the London Marathon 2008 that will take place on 20^th April 2008

NACC and The Eve Appeal

We managed to raise £195,40 for our roomie "Bethanbabies" and her sister, who had her hair chopped off for charity. The charities are NACC (National Association for Chrons and Colitis) - her sister has colitis - and The Eve Appeal research into ovarian cancer (which her mother passed away from on 11th July after a year long battle). They have also found a company that will buy the hair and subsequently make wigs to be used by others who are unfortunately having to go through radiotherapy/chemotherapy. The event took place in Bethanbabies' local salon "The Cutting Cabin" in Pentre, Mid Glamorgan at 1pm on Saturday 15th September.

"I would just like to say that I am really nervous about having this done as I can't remember the last time I wore my hair short. My sister and I have measured our hair and, if tied in a ponytail at the nape of the neck, I  have approximately 15 inches and my sister has approximately 17 inches of  hair that will be "sliced and diced", but it's all for 2 extremely  worthy causes. My sister and I would be grateful for anything that the site or any of its members would donate. However, we are also grateful that, through the charity bingo event, others will be more aware of the 2 conditions and the  charities.
